วิทยานิพนธ์นี้ เป็นการศึกษากระบวนการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานสื่อผสม เพื่อตกแต่งโรงแรมสุโขทัยเทรเซอร์ รีสอร์ท แอนด์ สปา จังหวัดสุโขทัย
ในการดำเนินงานสร้างสรรค์วิทยานิพนธ์ ผู้วิจัยได้รวบรวมศึกษา และวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ส่วนที่เกี่ยวข้องกับพื้นที่ที่จะออกแบบติดตั้งผลงาน ทั้งด้านโครงการสร้างสถาปัตยกรรม และรูปแบบการตกแต่งภายในของสถานที่ตลอดจนสิ่งแวดล้อม วิถีชีวิตและประวัติศาสตร์ของจังหวัดสุโขทัย เพื่อสร้างสมมุติฐานการออกแบบผลงาน โดยมีจุดมุ่งหมายสนับสนุนการตกแต่งพื้นที่ภายในโรงแรม ที่สื่อให้เห็นถึงบรรยากาศของสุโขทัยแต่อดีต ซึ่งมีแต่ความสุขสงบ ร่มเย็นดังคำนิยามของเมืองสุโขทัยที่หมายถึงดินแดนรุ่งอรุณแห่งความสุข
ผลงานสื่อผสม ถูกสร้างขึ้นด้วยเทคนิคปะติดวัสดุลงบนแผ่นไม้ เน้นวัสดุธรรมชาติ เช่น ไม้ หิน กะลา ถ่าน เปลือกไข่ แผ่นทองแดง ฯลฯ ซึ่งผู้วิจัยได้ออกแบบรูปทรงกึ่งนามธรรมที่เรียบง่าย โดยได้แรงบันดาลใจจากสิ่งแวดล้อมของ เมืองสุโขทัย ตลอดจนรูปแบบของศิลปะ หัตถกรรม และวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่น เป็นต้น ผลงานทั้งหมดได้ออกแบบมาด้วยโทนสีสุภาพของวัสดุธรรมชาติ ที่ให้ความรู้สึกถึงวิถีชีวิตในอดีต ที่มีความเรียบง่าย สงบ ภายใต้ร่มเงาของพระพุทธศาสนา
ผู้วิจัย ได้สร้างสรรค์ผลงานสื่อผสมทั้งหมด 10 ผลงาน และจำลองการติดตั้งในพื้นที่ของโรงแรม 4 จุด คือ
จุดที่ 1 บริเวณห้องนั่งพักคอย (Lobby) ที่ผนังหลังเคาน์เตอร์ประชาสัมพันธ์ ติดตั้งผลงาน “สุโขทัยในความทรงจำ 1” ขนาด 125 X 165 ซม. แสดงความน่าสนใจด้วยการออกแบบรูปร่างภายนอกทรงเรขาคณิตทรงสี่เหลี่ยม ส่วนบนทรงจั่วแหลมคล้ายทรงหลังคาบ้าน ภายในภาพแบ่งโครงสร้างเป็นช่องด้วยเส้นตรง มีเนื้อหาเรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับวิถีชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ รวมถึงบรรยากาศและสิ่งแวดล้อม ของสุโขทัย แทรกอยู่ในแต่ละช่อง
จุดที่ 2 บริเวณห้องนั่งพักรับรองแขก (Lobby) ที่เดี่ยวกันแต่เป็นที่ผนังด้านตรงกันข้ามเคาน์เตอร์ประชาสัมพันธ์ ที่เป็นส่วนของทางเดินเชื่อมต่อเข้าห้องจัดสัมมนา ติดตั้งผลงาน “สุโขทัยในความทรงจำ 2” ขนาด 123 x 258 ซม. ที่ออกแบบรูปร่างเรขาคณิตทรงจั่วแหลมเช่นเดียวกันกับชิ้นที่ 1 แต่ขยายโครงสร้างย่อยของภาพออกทางส่วนข้าง จึงได้ผลงานทรงยาวขึ้น ซึ่งเหมาะสมกับลักษณะของผนังที่ติดตั้ง
จุดที่ 3 และ 4 ห้องนอนแบบสุพีเรีย รูม (Superior Room) จำนวน 6 ห้อง และห้องนอนแบบดีลักซ์ รูม (Deluxe Room) จำนวน 2 ห้อง ติดตั้งผลงาน “สุโขทัยในความทรงจำ (3 ถึง 10) รวม 6 ผลงาน ขนาดต่อชิ้น 30 x 240 ซม. ในจุดที่ 3 และ 4 ออกแบบการติดตั้งผลงานให้กลมกลืนไปกับโครงสร้างเดิมของหัวเตียง ใช้เรื่องราวศิลปวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่นสุโขทัย และวัสดุธรรมชาติที่ใช้ในการสร้างสรรค์ สร้างบรรยากาศในห้องพักให้สงบและสวยงาม
The research is about creative process of mixed media art which is for interior decoration of Sukhothai Treasure Resort & Spa Hotel, Sukhothai province.
In the research process, the researcher has collected and analyzed data of the location that related with the project, such as structure and interior decoration of the hotel as well as history, culture and environment surrounded to make design hypothesis. The aim of this, to supporting interior decoration of the hotel that the creation should be a cultural reflect, shows a historical atmosphere, peaceful and serenity of the home land, as the word “Sukhothai” means “Dawn of Happiness”
The artwork made by mixing natural objects which assemblage on plywood such as a lot of tiny pieces of grit, wood, egg shell, coconut shell, copper sheet, carbon etc. The researcher design simple semi-abstract form which is inspired from Sukhothai view, ancient architecture, art, craft, and traditional culture. Polite color scheme, simple form, natural media are conveying to remind the warm of simple way of life, peaceful under the shadow of Buddhism of Sukhothai in old time. The thesis including with 10 pieces of artworks which are installed in 4 areas of the hotel following :
The first area is the lobby ; at the wall behind reception counter is installed the artwork titled “In memory of Sukhothai No” , size is 125 x 165 cm. The artwork shows interesting design in geometric shape of wood frame which the bottom line is a box shape but the top is triangular, look like the end of house roof. The structure divided into compartment with straight lines ; depict the story of Sukhothai folk way of life such as landscape and environment of the city inside each space.
The second area is the same lobby but at the opposite wall of the reception counter, where a walkway is connecting the seminar room, to install the artwork titled “In memory of Sukhothai No.2” size is 123 x 258 cm. Shape design is similar to the first but enlarge the structure out to the wide side, made it appropriate with the wall shape.
The third and fourth areas are 6 Superior bedrooms and 2 deluxe bedrooms. Each room is installed the artwork title “In memory of Sukhothai No.10. Size per piece is 30 x 240 cm. Specific designs by composing the artwork into the original headboard design. Theme of work is Sukhothai culture which is represented by natural materials, so it made the bedrooms are beautiful and serenity.
