บ้าน : ความเป็นตัวตน (กรณีศึกษาบ้านครอบครัววิเชียร อำเภอทุ่งสง จังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช)

Abstract

บ้านเป็นสถาปัตยกรรมประเภทหนึ่งที่สร้างขึ้นเพื่อตอบสนองและแสดงออกถึงความเป็นมนุษย์ วัฒนธรรม และชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ อาจกล่าวได้ว่าบ้านเปรียบเสมือน ต้นกำเนิดชีวิตที่สะท้อนถึงความเป็นตัวตนที่แท้จริงของผู้อยู่อาศัย ในการศึกษาวิทยานิพนธ์นี้พยายามที่จะศึกษา ค้นหา และทำความเข้าใจในประเด็นดังกล่าว เพื่อให้มีความชัดเจนมากขึ้น โดยมิได้มุ่งเน้นที่จะคิดค้นหรือสร้างนวัตกรรมใหม่ให้กับบ้านและการอยู่อาศัย การศึกษามีความมุ่งหมาย ที่จะทำความเข้าใจถึงที่มาและแนวความคิดข้างต้น เพื่อเป็นหลักการและเครื่องมือ ในการค้นหาลักษณะเฉพาะและแนวทางในการออกแบบบ้านที่แสดงออกถึงความเป็นตัวตนผ่านที่อยู่อาศัย เพื่อเปรียบเทียบและพิสูจน์ให้เห็นถึงที่มาและแนวคิดโดยการศึกษาผ่านกรณีศึกษา บ้านร้านเครื่องแกงของครอบครัววิเชียร ซึ่งมีขอบเขตการศึกษาในประเด็นของ สถานที่ ครอบครัวและการอยู่อาศัย ผ่านทางที่ว่างทางสถาปัตยกรรม ผลที่ได้จากการเปรียบเทียบผ่านขอบเขตการศึกษาของบ้านเดิมและบ้านใหม่ จะเห็นได้ว่ามีความเชื่อมโยงของลักษณะการอยู่อาศัยและบรรยากาศที่ว่างจากบ้านเดิมไปสู่บ้านใหม่ ถึงแม้ว่ารูปทรงและขนาดของบ้านใหม่จะเปลี่ยนไปจากเดิมมากแต่สาระสำคัญของที่ว่างที่สะท้อนถึงความเป็นตัวตนที่แท้จริงยังสอดคล้องกับลักษณะเดิมของ สถานที่ ครอบครัวและการอยู่อาศัยอย่างที่เคยเป็นมา กระบวนการที่ได้จากการศึกษาสามารถใช้เป็นหลักการพื้นฐานเพื่อทำความเข้าใจในเรื่องบ้าน และนำไปประยุกต์ใช้กับกรณีศึกษาอื่นๆ โดยหวังว่าจะเป็นประโยชน์ในการศึกษาและการออกแบบบ้านในแง่มุมอื่นๆ ต่อไป

A house, as type of architecture, is created (designed or built) to serve human needs. The human needs, in this sense, mean the need of identity that reflection through a human being, culture, and inhabitation. This thesis doesn’t intend to find or search for a new innovative house; instead it is trying to find and search for a better understanding of house and its dwell (inhabitation) in order to represent one identity. The purpose of the study is to look for a notion of a hypothesis that the house as a symbol of self. It aims at creating a notion and tool to search for an identity a person through his/her house and for a personal house design to represent one identity. In order to deo so, a case study of selected family, Wichien’s family, is focused through architectural spaces in three different aspects: place, family, and their inhabitation. A result from the comparison between the old and new Wichien’s house is a relationship of inhabitation and spatial atmosphere. Even though, the form and size of the new house are different, the essences of spaces that reflecting a family’s identity are remained to serve and respond to its original place, family, and inhabitation. The process that using in this study can be a notion for understanding the house and can be applied and used to other persona house designs and researches.
