จิตวิญญาณแห่งสถานที่ในการออกแบบศาลาชุมชนอีสาน

Abstract

การศึกษาทำความเข้าใจงานสถาปัตยกรรมด้วยรูปวัตถุ จะได้เพียงแต่ลักษณะของสิ่งที่เป็นวัตถุธรรมเท่านั้น ได้แต่รูปกายภายนอกเข้าไม่ถึงเนื้อหา หรือชีวิตวิญญาณของงานอย่างแท้จริง สังคมย่อมประกอบด้วยมนุษย์กับวัฒนธรรม ฉะนั้นการสร้างสรรค์งานสถาปัตยกรรม จึงอยู่ในกระบวนการทางวัฒนธรรม การสร้างสรรค์ย่อมประกอบด้วยแนวความคิดและวิธีการควบคู่อยู่ด้วยกันเสมอ ตัวแนวความคิดจะเป็นเครื่องนำทางวิธีการจะเป็นเครื่องมือนำไปสู่เป้าหมาย การค้นหาจิตวิญญาณ ลักษณะเฉพาะของถิ่นที่ของชุมชนอีสานลุ่มน้ำโขง เพื่อนำไปสู่การศึกษางานสถาปัตยกรรมร่วมสมัย มีความจำเป็นต้องค้นคว้าถึงเนื้อหา จากรากวัฒนธรรมดั้งเดิม ซึ่งมีกระบวนการสร้างสรรค์ลักษณะเฉพาะ และความหมายเชิงสัญลักษณ์ มีความซับซ้อนในตัวเองอย่างลึกซึ้ง มีโครงสร้าง แบบแผนและเนื้อหาทางรูปธรรมและนามธรรมของชุมชนที่แฝงอยู่ ผลการศึกษาพบว่า รูปแบบชุมชนลุ่มน้ำโขง มีวิถีชีวิตตามแนวจารีตประเพณีอีสาน ถือ ฮีตสิบสองเดือนอย่างเหนียวแน่น เป็นโครงสร้างแบบแผนของชุมชนด้วยสภาพแวดล้อม บริบทซึ่งมีแม่น้ำโขงเป็นปัจจัยหลักของชุมชนมาแต่อดีต วัฒนธรรมความเชื่อของชุมชนก่อกำเนิดรูปแบบความหมายเชิงสัญลักษณ์นาค ที่สะท้อนออกมาในรูปธรรมและนามธรรม เป็นความหมายศักดิ์และหลายหลายที่อยู่ร่วมกับชุมชน ทั้งในส่วนกิจกรรมประเพณี และผลผลิตทางวัฒนธรรมของชุมชน การพัฒนาแนวความคิดในการออกแบบศาลาชุมชนอีสาน เพื่อค้นหาลักษณะเฉพาะของถิ่นที่ที่สัมพันธ์กับบริบทบนพื้นฐานวัฒนธรรมชุมชนโดยศาลาชุมชนอีสานเป็นอาคารสาธารณะของชุมชน มีประโยชน์ใช้สอยอเนกประสงค์ เป็นสถานที่รับและเผยแพร่ข้อมูลของชุมชนและรองรับกิจกรรมของชุมชนที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับกิจกรรมประเพณีฮีตสิบสอง การเสนอแนวทางออกแบบเชิงทดลอง พบว่า ผลผลิตทางวัฒนธรรมการทอผ้าของชุมชนเป็นวิธีการศึกษาเพื่อเสนอเป็นทางเลือกในการออกแบบสถาปัตยกรรมร่วมสมัยที่สะท้อนความหมายเชิงสัญลักษณ์นาคทั้งรูปธรรมและนามธรรมที่ใกล้ชิดกับคนในชุมชน กิจกรรม และชุมชนเป็นอันหนึ่งอันเดียวกันโดยแนวคิดและวิธีการดังกล่าวสามารถพัฒนาเป็นแนวทางการออกแบบศาลาชุมชนอีสานที่มีลักษณะเฉพาะอันสะท้อนถึงจิตวิญญาณแห่งสถานที่ของชุมชน

Study of architecture by appearance, we can only get concrete or figure of building but not the content or spirit of place. By virtue of a society consist of human being and culture, to create architecture need to be under process of culture as well. To construct should be combine with concept and method, concept as navigator and method as tool to the goal. In finding the spirit and specific characteristic of Mekhong river community to study contemporary architecture, we need to research content original culture root which has specific of create procession and emblem of meaning. There are all deeply complicate with structure, custom, concrete, and abstract of community hidden in. The purpose of this study was to study the spirit of place for the design of Esan community shelter. The methods of the study are as follows: 1. Study culture of E-San community from many sources. 2. Study culture of E-San community by observing field study community at Bann Chommanee, Nongkhai province. 3. Construct the conceptual idea for design and develop to concrete. 4. Architectural design process by developing this conceptual idea. Result of the study gives that Makhong river community living their life follow the custom called “Heed Sib Song” which has the rule of specific activities through 12 months relate with Mekhong River. The other thing which holds the community believe is “Naka” or giant snake and became symbolic rebound on both concrete and abstract. “Naka” also concern with activities and culture products of the community; weave, fishery, agriculture. Architecture design development of E-San community shelter in order to finding the specific style or sense of place which conforms to basic context culture: the community shelter for all purpose public uses as community center, community information exchange and support all community activities relate with “Heed Sib Song” The test design study shows that culture product of the community like weaving is used as the method for alternative contemporary architecture which rebound emblem meaning of “Naka” on both concrete and abstract close to the community. This conceptual idea and methodology can be developing to alternative conceptual design of Esan community shelter which has its own specific style that rebound the spirit of place.
