ปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อความเงียบในห้องเรียนของนักศึกษาไทยในระดับอุดมศึกษา

Abstract

งานวิจัยนี้เป็นงานวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาถึงปัจจัยที่ทำให้เกิดความเงียบในห้องเรียนของนักศึกษา และเปรียบเทียบทัศนคติของนักศึกษาระหว่างนักศึกษากลุ่มที่ตอบคำถามตลอดและกลุ่มที่ไม่ตอบคำถาม การเก็บข้อมูลทำโดยการสัมภาษณ์นักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี ที่ลงทะเบียนในรายวิชาวาทวิทยาการโฆษณา คณะวิทยาการจัดการ โปรแกรมวิชานิเทศศาสตร์ ของมหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฎธนบุรี ซึ่งประกอบไปด้วยกลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 18 คน วิธีการเก็บข้อมูลทำโดยการแบ่งกลุ่มตัวอย่างออกเป็น 3 กลุ่ม คือกลุ่มที่ตอบคำถามตลอด กลุ่มที่ตอบบางครั้ง และกลุ่มที่ไม่ตอบคำถาม และให้กลุ่มตัวอย่างตอบคำถามสัมภาษณ์แบบสนทนากลุ่ม (Focus group) ข้อมูลที่ได้จากการสัมภาษณ์จะถูกนำมาวิเคราะห์ด้วยวิธีการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา (Content Analysis) เพื่อวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลที่ได้จากการสัมภาษณ์ผู้ให้ข้อมูล และรวบรวมสาเหตุของความเงียบในห้องเรียน โดยข้อมูลที่นำมาวิเคราะห์จะมาจากนักศึกษา 2 กลุ่ม คือ กลุ่มที่ตอบคำถามตลอด และกลุ่มที่ไม่ตอบคำถาม ผลการวิจัยพบว่าสาเหตุที่ทำให้เกิดความเงียบในห้องเรียนของกลุ่มตัวอย่างมี 4 ปัจจัย คือ ปัจจัยส่วนบุคคล ปัจจัยเกี่ยวกับห้องเรียน ปัจจัยทางวัฒนธรรม และปัจจัยทางจิตวิทยา

This independent study used a qualitative research methodology. It had two purposes ; to study the factors underlying students’ reticence using their native language to speak in public speaking classrooms in the university level and to compare the attitudes of students in two groups with different levels of class participation. The participants were 18 participants who enrolled in Speech for Advertising class at Management Science Faculty of the Dhonburi Rajabhat University in Bangkok. They were purposively selected and grouped into three which were based on their levels in classroom participations. The students’ participation which was also classified into the three groups involved ; high, medium, and low. Each group participated in a focus group interview which was arranged by the researcher. The data collected were analyzed using the content analysis technique for the reasons behind their participation levels in classrooms. Only the students’ testimonies from the two groups of the high-level participation and the low-level participation were presented for the second purpose of the study. The finding revealed that the factors underlying participants’ silence in classrooms were categorized into four main themes ; Individual, Classroom, Culture and Psychology.
