ทรรศนะต่อปัญหาความขัดแย้งในจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้จากรวมเรื่องสั้นชุด "แขกในบ้านตัวเอง"

Abstract

งานวิจัยชิ้นนี้ทำขึ้นเพื่อศึกษาทัศนคติเกี่ยวกับปัญหาความขัดแย้งและความรุนแรงในพื้นที่จังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้จากรวมเรื่องสั้นชุด “แขกในบ้านตัวเอง” ตลอดจนเพื่อศึกษาการนำเสนอภาพลักษณ์มุสลิมในจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ผ่านมุมมองนักเขียน ผู้วิจัยพบว่าปัญหาความขัดแย้งที่ปรากฏในเรื่องสั้นส่วนใหญ่มีรากฐานมาจากมายาคติเรื่องอัตลักษณ์ที่แตกต่างทั้งด้านศาสนา ชาติพันธุ์ และชนชั้น นอกจากนี้ นักเขียนยังชี้ให้เห็นว่า ปัญหาความขัดแย้งในพื้นที่จังหวัดชายแดนใต้ส่วนใหญ่เกิดจากการสร้างเงื่อนไขทางการเมืองและวัฒนธรรมมาเป็นข้ออ้างในการสร้างความแตกแยกระหว่างคนมลายูมุสลิมกับคนไทยพุทธ ภาพลักษณ์ของมุสลิมในพื้นที่จังหวัดชายแดนใต้ ประกอบด้วยความซับซ้อนของหลักปฏิบัติทางศาสนา ซึ่งยากที่คนนอกจะเข้าใจและตระหนักถึงความสำคัญ

The research is conducted to study the attitudes towards conflicts and violence in the southern border provinces of Thailand from the collection of short stories ‘Muslim in Their Own Home’. Including study in the images of Muslim in the southern border provinces presented through the writer’s point of view. The researcher found that most conflicts appeared in the short stories were based on the stereotype about differences in identities of religions, ethnics, and social classes. Besides, the writer indicated that most conflicts in the southern border provinces were occurred from inventing the conditions of politics and cultures as an excuse to divide Malay Muslim against Thai Buddhist. The images of Muslim in the southern border provinces consisted of the complication about their doctrines, which were difficult for outsiders to understand and realize the importance.
