สภาพแวดล้อมทางกายภาพที่เหมาะสมกับกิจกรรมถนนคนเดิน กรณีศึกษาถนนข้าวสาร กรุงเทพมหานคร

Abstract

การวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาลักษณะทางกายภาพที่มีความเหมาะสมกับกิจกรรมถนนคนเดิน ประเภทกิจกรรม และพฤติกรรมการใช้พื้นที่ เพื่อนำไปสู่แนวทางแก้ไขปัญหาและพัฒนาถนนคนเดิน กรณีศึกษาถนนข้าวสาร การศึกษาแบ่งออกเป็น 4 ส่วนคือ ส่วนที่ 1. การค้นคว้าทฤษฎีต่าง ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับถนนคนเดิน ส่วนที่ 2. การเก็บข้อมูลลักษณะทางกายภาพสภาพแวดล้อม และการใช้พื้นที่ถนนข้าวสาร ส่วนที่ 3. การเก็บข้อมูลจากแบบสอบถามและการสัมภาษณ์ ส่วนที่ 4. การนำข้อมูล 3 ส่วนข้างต้นมาวิเคราะห์เพื่อนำไปสู่แนวทางเบื้องต้นในการจัดการถนนข้าวสารให้มีเหมาะสมกับการจัดกิจกรรมถนนคนเดิน ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ถนนข้าวสารมีปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อลักษณะทางกายภาพ และสภาพแวดล้อมที่เหมาะสมกับกิจกรรมถนนคนเดินดังนี้ 1. ปัจจัยด้านที่ตั้ง การสัญจร และเส้นทางเดินเท้า มีความเหมาะสมสามารถเข้าถึงได้สะดวก มีรูปแบบการสัญจรที่หลากหลาย และมีระบบเส้นทางเดินเท้าที่เชื่อมต่อกับสถานที่ท่องเที่ยว 2. ปัจจัยด้านสภาพแวดล้อมทางกายภาพ ค่อนข้างมีความเหมาะสม ทางเดินเท้าและถนน มีความกว้างและสภาพพื้นผิวที่เหมาะสม แต่รูปแบบการตั้งร้านค้าแผงลอยไม่เหมาะสม กีดขวางทางเดินเท้า 3. ปัจจัยด้านทัศนียภาพและความงามทางสายตาของถนน มีความไม่เหมาะสมในด้านรูปแบบสภาพควรกำหนดรูปแบบของอาคารให้มีรูปแบบ และสีสันที่กลมกลืนกัน 4. ปัจจัยด้านกิจกรรม มีความเหมาะสมกับกิจกรรมถนนคนเดิน มีรูปแบบกิจกรรมที่สอดคล้องกัน 5. ปัจจัยด้านคุณภาพของพื้นที่สาธารณะ ค่อนข้างไม่เหมาะสมกับกิจกรรมถนนคนเดิน โดยจำเป็นต้องแก้ไขปัญหา ด้านความปลอดภัย และคุณภาพของพื้นที่สาธารณะด้านการนั่ง และการเดิน

This study was aimed to investigate the physical characteristics which suits the activities on walking street, types of activities and behaviors in using the area in order to find the solution for improving Khaosan Road, one of the most famous walking streets in Bangkok. This study was divided in to 4 parts: 1.) the study of principles and relative theory of walking street. 2) Gathering data and information of physical environment and the uses of Khaosan Road area. 3) Collecting information from questionnaires and interviews 4.) Using and analyzing data from part 1 to 3 to find the primary solutions that suits behaviors and activities on Khaosan Road. According to the results, it demonstrates the effects to physical characters and environment that suit activities on Khaosan Road as follows: 1. The location, circulation and pedestal factor are proper as it is easy to access by several types of vehicles and it can be walked from other tourist attractions. 2. The physical environment factor is appropriate and suits the pedestrian and street with it has wide space and proper surface. However, the stalls on footpath are not appropriate as they block the walking area. 3. The visual factor along the walking street does not fit the walking street itself as the style and building are not going the same way. It should be improved by using color, tone and style of building harmoniously. 4. The activity factor properly suits people on walking street as the activities are going in the same way. 5. The quality of public space does not fit the walking street. It should be solved security problem and quality of public area for walking and resting
