แนวทางการปรับปรุงภูมิทัศน์อุทยานประวัติศาสตร์พิมาย

Abstract

อุทยานประวัติศาสตร์พิมายเป็นโบราณสถานที่ทรงคุณค่าของมนุษยชาติ ตั้งอยู่ใจกลางชุมชนพิมายที่ครั้งหนึ่งเคยได้ชื่อว่าเป็นเมืองวัฒนธรรมของขอมในภาคอีสาน ปัจจุบันด้วยนโยบายการพัฒนาต่าง ๆ จากทางภาครัฐ การดำเนินกิจกรรมของเอกชน และความเปลี่ยนแปลงของชุมชนที่เติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจรวมถึงการท่องเที่ยว ล้วนส่งผลต่อภูมิทัศน์ของอุทยานประวัติศาสตร์พิมายในทางตรงและทางอ้อม เสมือนดาบสองคมที่เป็นได้ทั้งคุณและไทย การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อหาแนวทางในการปรับปรุงภูมิทัศน์อุทยานประวัติศาสตร์พิมายที่เหมาะสม และสามรถนำไปเป็นกรณีศึกษาเพื่อปรับใช้กับอุทยานประวัติศาสตร์แห่งอื่นที่มีลักษณะใกล้เคียงกัน โดยแนวทางการปรับปรุงนั้นได้มาจากกระบวนการศึกษาแนวคิดทฤษฎีที่เกี่ยวข้อง ควบคู่ไปกับการศึกษาเปรียบเทียบภูมิทัศน์อุทยานประวัติศาสตร์ที่ได้ขึ้นทะเบียนเป็นมรดกโลกในประเทศไทย 4 แห่งคือ อุทยานประวัติศาสตร์กำแพงเพชร อุทยานประวัติศาสตร์ศรีสัชนาลัย อุทยานประวัติศาสตร์สุโขทัย และอุทยานประวัติศาสตร์พระนครศรีอยุธยา จากการศึกษาสามารถเสนอเป็นแนวทางมาปรับใช้กับอุทยานประวัติศาตร์พิมายได้ 2 ลักษณะคือ แนวทางแรกเป็นการปรับปรุงภูมิทัศน์โดยภาพรวม ที่ใช้ในเรื่องการควบคุมพื้นที่โบราณสถานและบริบทให้สอดคล้องเหมาะสม การสร้างแรงจูงใจให้เกิดการปฏิบัติตามแนวทางที่กำหนดไว้ นอกจากนั้นยังเสนอแนวทางในการปรับปรุงแนวแกนทั้งของเมืองและโบราณสถานเพื่อเน้นความสำคัญทั้งยังเป็นการส่งเสริมกาพลักษณ์ของเมืองและใบราณสถานให้ชัดเจนยิ่งขึ้น ภายใต้กรอบการพัฒนาชุมชนไปพร้อมกับการพัฒนาปรับปรุงโบราณสถาน แนวทางที่สองคือแนวทางการปรับปรุงภูมิทัศน์แบบเจาะจงพื้นที่อุทยานประวัติศาสตร์พิมาย ซึ่งเป็นรายละเอียดการปรับปรุงองค์ประกอบภูมิทัศน์ในส่วนต่าง ๆ เพื่อให้สอดคล้องกับความเป็นโบราณสถาน

Phimai Historical Park is a valuable historic site of humanity. Located at the heart of Phimai community that once was known as the city of Khmer culture in the northeast. With the current policies in developments from the government, the activities of private sector and variation in community economic growth including tourism are affecting the landscape of the Phimai historical park in the direct and indirect. This study aims to find the appropriate ways to improve the landscape of Phimai Historical Park, and It can be use this result as case study to apply with other place where are similar. The updated guidelines are derived from the process concepts and theories related to the conservation of ancient sites, the historical concepts of landscape and cultural landscape, the concept in the old city renovation, the concept in environmental conservation, art and development of landscape architecture. This study had researched and campared with four historical park in Thailand which has been registered as World Heritage Sites; Kamphaengphet Historical Park, Srisatchanalai Historical Park, Sukhothai Historical Park and Ayutthaya historical park. From this study, there are two features to be adapted to Phimai Historical Park. The first is landscape's improvement by combined historical areas laws and contextual and also try to make inspiration to behave follow the direction. It is also proposed to improve the vertical axis of the city and to highlight important historical sites, and enhanced the image of the city and the historic context within the framework of community development along with the historic development. The second is a guidelines for a specific landscape in Phimai Historical Park area which is a detail of softscape improvement and landscape elements in various parts in order to comply with the historical identity. And also giving the additional recommendation to provide the space areas for supporting the tourism and activity in light and sound show which held every year in order to be neat and to prevent any damage that may occur to the historic site and to the surrounding landscape.
